What I Wear To Disney: Magic Kingdom

Easily one of my most requested blog posts – what should I wear to Disney? As with most things, style is so subjective and personal. Not to mention, if you’re planning a trip to Disney, you have to contend with the mystery that is Florida weather. Truthfully, you’ll see a mix of everything at the parks. A lot of times my philosophy is to wear something that I like, that is comfortable, and throw on a pair of ears with it! When I pulled together outfit inspiration I did so with a range of temperatures in mind. If it is truly cold, your best bet is going to be jeans or leggings, a cozy sweatshirt or spirit jersey, and a jacket. But since the day can start at 40 degrees and overcast and tick on up to 75 and sunny before you know it, the name of the game is layers. In the summer I lean toward moisture wicking fabrics or the most breathable options, and won’t regret having a poncho with you. I’m never far from my MegaBabe Thigh Rescue and Bust Dust, and sunscreen is a must. For footwear, most Disney pros will tell you that comfort is key and for me that most often means tennis shoes. Every shoe linked is one that I have personally tested for all-day walking at the parks, but my number one pair are my Tretorns.

Besides comfort and functionality, my Disney dressing philosophy is to somehow coordinate with the theme of whatever park I am visiting. For Magic Kingdom, I sometimes go with a classic red, white, and black palette as an homage to Minnie and Mickey Mouse themselves. My custom “Oh Toodles!” Grace and James sweater makes me so happy and you can personalize it with whatever Disney related saying you want! Sometimes I lean toward whites or pastels to more easily incorporate the princess vibes. You’ll see a lot of athletic wear, and sometimes you’ll see people very dressed up. If I wear dresses I always have on bike shorts to prevent chafing and ensure modesty getting on and off the rides. I also try to coordinate with the girls. If they are in their precious smocked Minnie Dresses, I might dress up a little bit more – but that’s just me!

Depending on when you’re checking out this post, some items may be no longer available. I’ll try to provide updated ideas but in the meantime, I hope these serve at the very least as inspiration! To visit my posts for the other parks, you can follow these links: Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom

Thank you for visiting and supporting my blog. I use commissionable links which means that at no additional cost to you I sometimes earn a varying percentage from sales made.

What do they put in the water in Texas? Possibly t What do they put in the water in Texas? Possibly tequila 😆 but in all seriousness, I lived in Dallas from 2005, to fairly recently when we moved back to Florida in 2018. And even though I'm a born and raised Floridian, so much of my heart feels like Texas is my home. Margaret however is a Texan by birth and she tells everyone who will listen, which seems pretty Texan of her (in the best way).

We're here with the girls this week, seeing our special people, and of course I packed two of my favorite Texas brands, @sunshinetiendashop and @susanshaw that are both lead by stylish and talented women.

You can shop my accessories by following me on @shop.ltk or head to my stories!
