Something about quarantine has me hopping back in time to fifth grade English when we had to compose poetry about our favorite things. In that spirit I dreamed up a Limerick that is timely and from my house dress loving heart.
There once was a House Dress in my closet,
Yeah, I have 25, what of it?
They’re flowy and free,
Not to mention easy,
so 25 more I shall get!

The dress is having a moment – but hasn’t it always? I mean is there a better piece of clothing out there? All you need is one great dress and you can be ready for anything! I am sure the women who fought to wear pants would be upset about this post, or maybe not because the whole point is that we all get to wear whatever we want and for me that is a dress!
So much time at home has propelled the “house dress” to the top of search inquiries and I for one am thrilled at this trend of putting on a pretty and comfy dress each day, even if I am leaving my home a bit more than I used to.
